UPCOMING EVENT

Public Talk and Book Signing by Esteemed Lama Tsultrim Allione
Wisdom Rising: A Journey Into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine
Friday, January 11, 7–9pm, Tucson Symphony Center, 2175 N 6th Avenue

This evening talk is based on Lama Tsultrim Allione’s new book: Wisdom Rising: Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine. A dynamic spiritual model based on 1000-year-old tradition from Tibet meets the gale force winds of the current world situation. She masterfully shows us the secret to harnessing the energy of the fierce wise dakini, a previously forbidden aspect of the feminine, whose juicy potency is so needed now. Through the Dakini Mandala, a universal template of wholeness, each of the five dakinis, embodiments of the fierce feminine, transforms an emotional encumbrance into wisdom. The mandala brings strength from the inside out giving a practical method to become an effective agent of transformation in your world.

During this talk after an introduction to the mandala and the dakini principle you will be guided in a short experiential journey into the mandala of your innermost being, where the empowered feminine resides.

Followed by book signing.

Attendance of the Friday evening talk is obligatory for anyone attending the Saturday and Sunday retreat.

Lama Tsultrim Allione Retreat
Saturday, January 12, 10am–5pm (incl lunch break)
Sunday, January 13, 10am–1pm, Tucson Symphony Center, 2175 N 6th Avenue

Drawing on her experience as a Tibetan Buddhist nun, who became a best-selling author and world-renowned Buddhist teacher, Lama Tsultrim Allione offers a guide to access a previously forbidden aspect of the feminine: the fierce wise dakini, whose juicy potency is needed to meet the gale force winds of the current world situation. In the midst of the #MeToo and #TimeIsUp, we see women rising, coming out of silence into empowerment, but what inner practice can we draw on to stay centered, not get depleted and transform anger into wisdom? This retreat will explore the Mandala of the Five Dakinis, which is a dynamic spiritual model based on 1000-year-old tradition coming from Tibet, where the five obstructive emotional patterns are transformed into wisdom through color, sounds, visualization and an understanding of the five buddha families. This meditation practice gives you a practical method to center yourself and find strength within, while empowering you to be an effective agent of transformation in your world. We will work with meditation, active imagination, sound and mandala drawing during the retreat.

Leave rejuvenated, having found a dynamic community, a meditation practice, and the practical guidance you need to activate your wisdom being, as well as the ability to continue with online programs at Tara Mandala (see taramandala.org).

This retreat is based on Lama Tsultrim Allione’s new book: Wisdom Rising: Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine (publ. Simon and Schuster May 2018) and she will be on hand to sign copies during the retreat.

Attendance of the Friday evening Talk is obligatory for anyone coming to the weekend retreat.
